How it works

Latency is the median round-trip time of several small requests to this site. Download speed is measured as a large file is fetched from this site's own hosting. Because there is no backend, upload speed cannot be measured - and the tool says so rather than guessing.

Frequently asked questions

Why is there no upload speed result?

Measuring upload reliably needs test infrastructure on the server side. Static hosting cannot do that, so the tool does not pretend.

How accurate is the download number?

It measures throughput to this specific server over your current connection - useful as an indicator, not a certified benchmark.

Does the test use third parties?

No. The test file and pings come from this site only.
