How it works
Net floor area − obstacles. Wastage is a percentage on top. Cost = material quantity x unit price.
Tips
- Diagonal layouts need 15%; straight 5–10%.
- Patterned tiles need extra for matching at seams.
- Buy everything at once from the same dye lot.
Limitations
Narrow strips or many obstructions increase waste beyond the preset.

Do I include wastage in flooring purchases?
